How to Activate Microsoft 365 via EDU Account (Windows/Mac)

🔹 Step 1: Get Your EDU Account Details

After purchase, you’ll receive login credentials such as:

  • Email: username@edu.microsoft.com (example)

  • Temporary Password: provided in your delivery email

📩 Check your inbox or spam folder for an email titled
“Microsoft 365 EDU Account Details” or “Your Microsoft 365 Education Login Info”.

🔹 Step 2: Sign in to Microsoft Portal

  1. Go to 👉 https://www.office.com

  2. Click “Sign In”

  3. Enter your EDU email and temporary password

  4. On first login, you’ll be asked to set a new password — choose something secure and memorable.

🔹 Step 3: Accept License Terms

Once logged in, Microsoft will automatically detect your Education license.
Click “Accept” or “Continue” to activate your account.
You’ll now have access to all Microsoft 365 apps and services included with your EDU plan.

🔹 Step 4: Install Office Apps

  1. On the Office.com homepage, click “Install Office”

  2. Select “Microsoft 365 Apps”

  3. Download the installer and run it

  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation

💻 Works on Windows, macOS, and even Chromebooks (via web apps).

🔹 Step 5: Activate Your Apps

  1. After installation, open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint

  2. When prompted, Sign in with your EDU account (the same one used on Office.com)

  3. The system will automatically verify your subscription and activate Office 365.

✅ You now have fully activated Microsoft 365 EDU on your device!

🔹 Step 6: (Optional) Use Online Apps

You can also use the online versions without installing anything:

Just sign in with your EDU account to access Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook directly in your browser.

⚙️ Troubleshooting Tips

  • If login fails, double-check your email and password.

  • If you see a message like “License not found” — wait 10–15 minutes and try again.

  • Make sure your internet connection is stable during activation.

  • If you get “Sign-in required” repeatedly, remove old Office versions first, then reinstall.
